25,000

Congratulations to The Awful Writer for bumping us into 25,000! Jim, you've won the No-Prize!

To commemorate the milestone, let me pass on these words of wisdom a reader shared with me today:

Better to commit sins of action rather than sins of inaction.

Amen, brother MIM.

Seriously, thank you everyone! Glad to have you here the last seven months while I bumbled through blogging.

Do you know how much I enjoy reading your blog? Can't even tell you! It's wonderful. Your honesty is wonderful. Your stories are wonderful.

Awwww...don't make me cry, girl!

So Christina wants to meet you next week, but isn't into burlesque night. But you know who might be? Kev and Barak. Have you talked to Barak lately? I know nothing. But I'd also be up for a little Boardwalk karaoke action with the UCLA offkey-ers...(me included, duh...all I can do is swivel my womanly hips)

You know, it's funny that you say that -- I was thinking Christina seems like cool grrl and would fun to hang with! (Where is she, btw? Last time she posted it sounded like she had some kinda hellish schedule going on, too much to do.)

I don't know about Barak and Kev -- but I know my Honey wants to meet Barak and give him a big kiss for helping me with the UCLA stuff. (He also wanted to meet you, of course. Which is why we set up the burlesque night... But if ya don't want him to give ya a big kiss for reading my script and helping me out, I'll try to dissuade him. Barak, on the other hand, has it coming!)

So, I'm sure my Honey'd be into whatever kinda bar-hopping program, and I'd be interested to meet all the people you keep talking about your PP, so if Christina and the gang wanted to have drinks some other night, that'd be great. We're pretty much free apart from one other dinner we're scheduled for (with one of my friends from Institute for the Humanities, who got a job at Claremont).

Maybe we should chat over the phone? Gotta get these last two single-spaced pages done and a few revisions (ugh), so maybe later this week?

Brooke, thanks...and great story today!

NN, totally. Chat we will. Chateau Marmont and Standard too, oui? Hey, and I won't turn down a big kiss from anyone. But I'd pay a fiver to see A and B slobber on each other :)

Anything I can do to help. You're always welcome. :-)

PS -- Keep your eyes open for a revised evite from the wife. I effed up and put the wrong address for the kids party -- actually, an entirely wrong freaking park. DOH!

Woa, wait, huh? Is it still the same day and time? I'm totally confused.

Date and time are still right. Location -- aka, the name and address of the park -- are wrong.

I have a Trial Skills Seminar tonight, so I may not be home until 9-ish. CC will be sending a revised evite to everyone tonight. Worse comes to worst, just call me before Saturday a.m. and I'll give you the coordinates.
