Such a wise looking deity. And if she's (he's?) in a crunch she can always eat herself like Pizza the Hutt.

kid sis -- Totally appropriate quip. Superman was on Cinemax last night. Been a long time since I watched the just-theatrical-release version.

Also, totally appropriate picture. South Park two nights ago was the one that showed the highest source of authority for the Catholic Church was... the Great Giant Spider.

For the record -- as of this moment, I believe that God made us all in God's own image -- not necessarily two eyes, ears, feet, etc.

But as beings capable of love, compassion, wrath, forgiveness, intelligence, responsibility, generosity, mercy, anger, healing, laughter, discipline, strength, wisdom, justice, music, dance, joy, faith, and hope -- all qualities that God and/or God's people have shown throughout the Bible, if one is willing to look for them and not dwell on every last instance of "uncleanliness", "stoning", or "smiting".

Was it a giant spider or a (geeking out) Thangarian Snare Beast?

^^^'Cause you know, the spider is the greatest natural predator on earth!!!

Sorry, ak, but Kevin Smith's stories about Jon Peters are TOO funny!

I've heard him speak on quite a few occasions and he tells that story EVERY time... How about polar bears?

Finally got around to seeing it a few months ago when the STARZCinema channel started showing "Evening with Kevin Smith." My wife walked in during the "But, dude, it's f---in' Prince!" section and nearly fell over laughing.

Gotta get it on DVD myself.

Also, on midnight of early Christmas morning last December, StarzCinema showed "Snowball Effect" documentary on the making of Clekrs. SO sacrilegious to watch that night, but TOO funny.
