Which Classic Dame Are You?

I'm Rosalind Russel. And you?

You are one wise-cracking lady, always quick with a clever remark and easily able to keep up with the quips and puns that come along with the nutty situations you find yourself in. You're usually able to talk your way out of any jam, and even if you can't, you at least make it more interesting with your biting wit. You can match the smartest guy around line for line, and you've got an open mind that allows you to get what you want, even if you don't recognize it at first. Your leading men include Cary Grant and Clark Gable, men who can keep up with you.

What fun. Thanks. Seems I'm Katharine Hepburn and Clark Gable. That's kinda fun to say.

I love Rosalind Russell. I can't wait to someday meet you. Just -- where are you going to find one of those cool hats she wears?

Jimmy Stewart. Now, off to find my friend Harvey.

AK, I see Harvey frequently. I'll let him know you're looking.

Moses, you should SEE the hats I own. Right, NN?

NN, I'm a fox with a score of 14, and am apparently now applying to the liberal arts education at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Going to be joining me? We can ignore our higher degrees and start over studying sanskrit and architecture!

Congrats on Myrna Loy...I was a little surprised that wasn't me!
Though RR kicks ass...that voice! Those hats!

Moses. Geez. Only the two archetypes of the Golden era. Totally fun to say!

The funny thing is that the last time I was doing research at the Huntington Library, I got into a rugby-match debate with a scholar who was making a dubious argument in which he dated the origins of exoticism in Europe to the 18th-c, and we went at it until he finally gave up and called me a hedgehog.

I was taken aback. What a thing to say. And anyway, I thought, I think I'm more like an ibex, d-u-u-u-de.

It turns out there was a famous article published about fox-like versus hedgehog-like historians. (Explains much about why I went into LITERARY studies, yes?)

A nerdy friend of mine sent it to me, remembering the whole debacle, which everyone knew about at the HL that year, 'cuz you know me, and I thought ya'd find it amusing...

(Hm. Who's working out ways to fritter away time here, I wonder?)

Bette Davis

You scored 30% grit, 19% wit, 33% flair, and 35% class!

You're one smart cookie, and you know it. You also know how to let everyone else in on the deal. You've worked hard to get where you are, and sometimes you might not have played fair. You are ruthless but charming, and the light of intelligence sparkles in your eyes. When cornered, you can and will act, but you'd rather have things go your way and live a life of ease and comfort. It's not a great idea to cross you; you will run the competition down like a rabbit, and leave them wondering what hit them. Your leading men include Errol Flynn and Paul Henreid, men who like a feisty gal with a touch of class.
Find out what kind of classic leading man you'd make by taking the Classic Leading Man Test.

I wanted to be Katherine Hepburn...I knew if I answered all the quirky ones, I'd be her..but alas, it wouldn't have been true. Good job Brooke!:) I'm jealous.

I ended up taking that test because of you! (through Mo's blog). Fun all around.

What a fun test...glad you're all getting who you want...except Ted, of course. Just don't beat your children Ted, and you'll be fine.

And for Salad (and the rest of you Pagans) I highly recommend visiting The Church of Ed Wood.

Kristen, I'm f**king classy too! What are those a**holes thinking? F*ck.
