In Memorium

Still haven't received Calliope's ashes, which come to think of it is rather odd. But I did put together a little photo book, and I just bought a skirt in her honor. I know, sounds strange...but look at it. Isn't that crazy? I mean really. That kitty has some good taste.

I miss her terribly. I slept with her in my bed for longer than most people sleep next to a spouse.

Wow, Oddly Normal is fantastic. Can't wait to read more. Congratulations!

I'm also a Newsradio fan. And your thoughts on sith today...I totally relate.

Thanks! Based on your bogging, I think you'd like the series. If you want to read more and can't find it in stores, let me know. :)

Newsradio was a great show. So unfortunate that Hartman's death basically ended the series. He was amazing. Check out the commentaries on the DVD . . . lots of writers.

Sith depressed me. And I'm what most people would call a "Lucas apoligist" (although I honest liked the other two prequels).

By the way, I found your blog through other screenwriting blogs. I hope you keep writing about your experiences in screenwriting.

Oh, that's good to know...I would have assumed you found it through Mom's Cancer's Eisner nom.

I have a great comic store in walking distance of my house, so I'll go back Thursday (natch, cuz of the holiday) and see if they have yours. I would bet they do; they cater to great alternative material.

yeah, naturally I would like yours...really love the whole outsider high school girl theme! Actually, I'd love to get my 17 year old nieces reading it. They're cool chicks.

A Lucas apologist. Sigh. I understand. I was depressed too. Ohhh, must change subject.

I visited the Newsradio set once to hang out with a friend on the show. Was very struck by Hartman. Before he went out to do his scenes, he would do a ton of energy/chi ish work backstage. I'm big on that too, so I loved seeing another actor/shaman. Made a big impression. Never forgot that.

Yeah, on the commentaries they comment (I think it was Joe Rogan) that Hartman was a total pro who prepared like crazy.

But they're great commentaries, overall. Funny, informative and sometimes very personal.
