I like to think of myself as a community builder. Blogging has been an awesome way to introduce people I know to each other. But now suddenly when I go onto a regular reader's site and see that they are already engaged in a cooler conversation with someone I linked them to, I get jealous. Like I wasn't invited to the party.
What the hell is that about?

I also get jealous sometimes of the "relationships" I see between bloggers. I want to be part of ALL the cool groups! But then I realize that if I were part of ALL the cool groups, there would be little time for things like being with family...eating....showering...you know...life in general.
I'm thinking of making the 'move' from Blockbuster Online to NetFlicks. Is it worth it...? I always seem to end up watching HBO shows from my list anyhow. I do miss indie, world and classic cinema though. Blockbuster seems to come up short in that respect...
Netflix is awesome. I'll never rent from local stores ever again.

I found your jealousy of other bloggers amusing -- especially when you "set them up.". I definitely can relate. When I started blogging a few months ago, it was just to write amusing stuff for myself. Then all of a sudden someone linked to me, and I linked back. Then some Australian woman with a crazy website linked to me, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to link back. Then I linked to some popular blogger, and he didn't link to me. I felt inadequate. Suddenly, all this wasn't about writing anymore. Blogging felt more like high school, and I didn't have anyone to go to the prom with -- except for the woman from Australia with a crazy website.
