Tombstone

Realized as I was boarding the plane on Saturday that for the first time in my life, it's okay with me if I die.

Only took me 34 years to accomplish my artistic goals, but they're real and they're out there now as of Friday night. An award-winning body of work.

If I get struck down tomorrrow, they will rise more powerful than you can ever imagine.

*grin*

This post reminds me of my favorite Woody Allen quote: "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying."

Anywho Lis, I already mentioned this to you but it bears repeating that despite your well-deserved sense of artistic satisfaction, it is simply unacceptable for you to die anytime soon because you have many, many more years of brilliant work ahead of you.

Thank you Josh. I appreciate that. I will get to work on that canon you think I have in me, and pray I don't get hit by a bus meanwhile :)
