By the way

This pic was taken right after that disastrous second lunch date back in July. I put it up on Myspace amongst a bunch of new photos, and apparently people like this one.

God I love this dress.

So yeah, that's pretty much me. I'm packing that, and a half dozen other dresses for Umbria/Tuscany/Rome/Florence/possibly Venice, Prague, and perhaps a dozen other places I'm headed towards early crack o' pain Tuesday.

And some long coats and hats and longjohns and tennies. I don't know, I'm pretty much at a loss now as to what to wear if it isn't a beautiful chic dress. Sigh.

You look great in that dress. That'll definately get you attention in or out of Europe.

I didn't get to see much in Italy. But I really wouldn't mind going back to Germany, France, and England either. Not going to happen in the near future, but I will get over to europe again.

Aww, thank you Hugo.

I freaking loved Paris. Have a HUGE distrust of snotty people who hate it. How can you hate the best food in the world and streets lined with gold?

Most of the people who hate France are 'typical' Americans. The ones we don't like either. I find that if you treat people with respect, regardless of country, they will treat you right.

Oh, the food I had in Germany and Gilbraltar was better than what I had in France. The steak I had in Gilbraltar was so tender I didn't need a knife to cut it. So Good. Of course, things like waking up to the scent of freshly baked bread is something the U.S. really lacks.

I haven't been to Paris, and it is lower on the sites to visit. I stilll haven't completed touring southern France.

As for Italy, the one thing gastronomically I remember is that the pizza there is thin crust with cheese. Everything else was extra.

Come to think of it, that was the nature of Italy. Everything was extra, and it added up quickly.
