Happy Cinquo

If you're looking for a great radio station with a fresh playlist, stream Jack FM. Kid you not, in the last hour they've played Don Mclean, Thompsin Twins, Billy Squier, The Time, REM, and Georgia Satellite. No rhyme or reason to their eclectic mix, except that all the songs are brilliant.

That sounds pretty dernded good (although still not as good as what was once my all-time favorite radio station out of Chicago: WLS-AM, where I long long ago heard AC/DC followed by the Carpenters followed by Throbbing Gristle (!) -- too bad talk radio came along & wiped all their DJ's out of jobs...)

I have them on my radio here in Indy. I love it! Not a lot of talk or commercials, either.

iTunes has an 80's station that is good for friday night writing.

Hey Liz,

Have you tried Pandora?

It's a high quality music stream that uses an interesting algorithm to pick out music based on your tastes. It has a slight learning curve, but I've been impressed with how quickly it moves along. You can set up multiple stations, depending on your mood. It's like a Jacked-up Jack...

and it's totally free! :)

Lynda, right on!

BC, I didn't know itunes had radio stations too! Going to have to check that out!

Brian, I will definitely try Pandora. I'm so sick of conventional radio stations! Thanks!

MIM, of course it is, because we're twinsies! Ugh, I want to see MIM for all the other actors, but I just can't give cruise/scientology my money.
