NYC Update

We're back from the booklaunch jetlagged, fatter and happier. If I didn't get to see you in NYC I'm sorry; it was a whirlwind.

Brian has a great blow-by-blow up here.

The Lloyd Dobbler Effect

Washington Post article...and further evidence of his far-reaching spell.

I've actually encountered more than a few Lloyd Dobbler types and I find their persistence...disturbing. Court orders had by all. ;)

Self-Discovery

Have realized I do my best writing from 11pm-4am when the rest of the world is asleep.

Though this puts me in discord with the rest of the world and most writers (you chirpy bastards who start writing at 6am), it is apparently not unusual for us "sensitive" types who need the energy of the planet to be low-key. Met two other writers last night with the exact same pattern.

File this in the "I'm not as big of a freak as I thought" category.

This post also should answer the question "Why is Lis always in bed when I call?" And you thought I was avoiding you.

Cheating the System

Somehow, Barnes and Noble online has the same 20% off discount AND is releasing the book a week earlier than Amazon...whoo-hoo!

I wonder if I just blew it by outing them. Nah, Charlie and Abrams don't read me. Do they?

Another beautiful review is in.

Dude, have I mentioned how freaky spazzed out I am right now? Three more weeks until my entire family is outed. Hold on to your hats people, life is about to get bumpy. And please send your hatemail to the Nigerian Email folks instead of me. I'm empathetic; I take that crap to heart.

"Kinda Trippy, huh?"

Got a phone call today from Big Bro asking if I had any objections to having our family photo (the one above right) appear in a German newspaper. Nope, no objections.

First Review of Mom's Cancer

And by Publisher's Weekly. It doesn't get better than this, folks.

http://www.momscancer.blogspot.com

We will get the prototype of the Hero stuffed animal back February 22. It's a brand new drawing with a brand new company. Fingers crossed, you're going to love it. We already tested it on our 12-year-old niece Jill, and can't wait to have one!

I'm totally behind on Mom's autobiography. Have missed the Feb. 1st deadline; need to recommit to you all for a new deadline. March 15th?

By the way, I'm going to the NY comic-con in a few weeks where the book is debuting. So you NY readers, we'll be in town!

All I Want

Someone arrived at my site by googling "hollywood girls warrior movies". My site comes up first for that search.

Geez, if there were one kind of movie I could make, over and over again, there it is. Very cool.

Not Dead Yet

I'm alive, sort of. Have made amazing headway on all ten of my current projects, despite having a bit of a breakdown last week. Perhaps I need to cry in PJs more often.

My cell phone broke, so if I'm supposed to have your number, you might want to email it to me...

Going today to talk to a huge class of 17-year-olds about the business of screenwriting. Can't wait!
